I’m offering this pair of lenses in one lot because of the rather scarce special-order-only finder that is made for these two focal lengths. To use on Alpa it is necessary to lock the mirror up and use the optical finder. According to Alpa sales literature there is slight vignetting at infinity. The camera is not included – for demonstration only. 9.8mm f1.8 Tegea. Stanley Kubrick used the 9.8mm on Clockwork Orange and The Shining so it has a following in the cinematography arena. Glass – appears mint with no cleaning marks, no haze, no separation, no fungus. A great looking piece of glass! The large rear cap is missing and there is a small cap to cover the optics. Mechanical – focusing is smooth but a little stiff. The aperture is nice and smooth. There is no oil on the diaphragm blades. Cosmetic – near-mint cosmetics with very light wear from not being used more than a couple of times. Most of the wear is to the sharp edges on the knurling of the focus/aperture rings. 18mm f1.8 Apochromat. Included is the original paper inspection/guarantee slip Glass – appears mint with no cleaning marks, no haze, no separation, no fungus. Mechanical – focusing and aperture are both smooth. Finder for 9.8mm and 18mm Lenses. Excellent ++ overall condition. The glass is clean and clear with no haze, no fungus, no separation. There are several light cleaning marks visible on the front glass. There are a few bright marks in the finish. There is one frame line for the 18mm. This is the wood/leatherette box for the 9.8mm and was likely modified to make room for the 18mm and finder. Things don’t fit perfectly but the box keeps everything together.
